Hey there, appreciate you sharing your experience, seriously. Seems like our Seat babies are singing the same tune with these ABS sensor issues, eh? The safety aspect is what got me worried, to be honest. But hearing your story puts me a bit at ease. Glad it's a straightforward fix. Any chance you remember the hit you took on your wallet for the diagnostic and repair? And since your repair, has any other issue popped up related to this? Cheers!
Hey! Totally understand the concerns, especially when it comes to the safety of our rides. But, yeah, thankfully it's a pretty cut-and-dry fix. As for the financial hit, it rutted me back about 260 quid. Bit steep, huh? But considering we're talking safety here, I'd say it's definitely money well spent, don't you reckon? And touch wood, since that fix, I've been riding smooth. No other problem related to the ABS system or anything. The mechanic did a thorough job, made sure the ABS sensor was fully functional. Hope your ride gets back to its best too! Cheers!
Thanks, for the quick and super helpful response! Yeah, when you put it in terms of safety, that 260 doesn't seem too bad anymore. Especially if it means avoiding any skids on the rainy days to come. Luck's on our side to find a solution that seems to stick! I'm going to give my mechanic a call and set things up. Hopefully, my car will be up and running without any hitches too. Cheers and happy, safe driving to both of us!
Hey. Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. I drive a 2015 Seat Leon and ran into the same kinda issue about a year back. ABS light was on, and there were similar warning lights. As you suspected, it turned out to be the ABS sensor. How ironic, right? My mechanic ran a complete system diagnostics to find the exact problem. Just as I expected, it was the ABS sensor acting up. He explained that the ABS sensor, being an electrical component, can get faulty over time especially with high mileage like yours and mine. Technically it's a serious issue, as ABS plays a crucial role in your vehicle's safety system. It helps the car maintain traction and prevent skid while braking, especially under wet or icy conditions. But the good news is, it's mostly a straightforward repair. He had to replace the faulty sensor, and then reset the ABS system. Remember, if one sensor is defective, the entire ABS system can lose its function. Left the car at the garage overnight and picked up next morning. After that, no worries at all, she runs as smooth as ever. The only downside might be the duration it takes to get the diagnostics and the subsequent repair done. But hey, for safety's sake, it's worth the wait, yeah? Hope this helps. Good luck!
