Troubleshooting 2021 Renault Arkana's Non-functioning Emergency System

Emergency system without function

Hey fellow car enthusiasts, I've got my 2021 Renault Arkana with a Gasoline engine throwing me for a loop. The emergency system is just dead, no functioning at all. My best guess is that there's an error in the emergency call system? Has anyone encountered something like this before? If so, how did your workshop handle it? I'd really appreciate some troubleshooting tips or any experiences about this kind of problem. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I faced a somewhat similar issue with my 2019 Renault Kadjar, same brand just a older model. Now, I wouldn't call myself a car expert but I've got some experience under my belt. Turns out my problem wasn't with the emergency call system though, it was a broken speaker. Took it to my usual workshop, the guys there are decent. They swapped out the busted speaker and charged me around 305 euro for it. That said, could you tell me more about your situation? Does your system show any error codes? Depending on that, the solution might be different. If it's a hardware problem like mine, I guess the workshop should handle it pretty easily. Hope that helps!

Hey there, thanks for the quick reply! It's quite interesting that you had a similar issue with your Kadjar, these Renault cars can add unexpected surprises from time to time, eh? Sorry to hear about your speaker situation though, glad you managed to resolve it! About my problem, there aren't any specific error codes that I've noticed so far, the entire system just seems to be non-responsive. What's even more odd is that everything was perfectly fine at the last service, when the odometer was at 65607 km. I'll take your advice and bring it up with the workshop next time. At least I now have a rough idea about the possible costs. Although, I still hope it's not a hardware issue. Thanks again for your input, it really helps a lot!

Hey there! No problem at all, glad I could provide some insight! Yeah, these Renaults do like to have a life of their own sometimes, don't they? Your situation certainly does sound like a bit of a mystery, especially with no error codes showing up. But hold up, don't get too worried just yet! I reckon it could possibly be a software glitch, especially if everything was ship-shape at the last service. So, here's my piece of advice. Before you head over to the workshop, try to give the system a full reset, kind of like rebooting your computer, you know? If it's a software glitch, this might help to kick it back into functioning mode. If it doesn't work, well I guess the workshop visit is unavoidable then. Fingers crossed it's just a glitch and nothing serious! Keep me updated, will ya? Take care!

Hey! Cheers for the sage advice. Yeah, hoping it's more of a software thing rather than a hardware issue. Never really thought of giving the system a full reset, that could be a solution as simple as turning it off and on again, right? I'll definitely give it a go and see how things shake up. Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for me, I could use a bit of that positive energy! Will keep you posted about what happens next. Stay safe and keep those wheels spinning!
