Hey there, appreciate your reply. Yeah, no additional features or mods, kept it pretty much as it came. Nah, haven't had any services recently either, but she's clocked a fair share of distances, about 175874 KM now. Might be worth a check with the local garage as you did, spending a few bucks sounds better than risking the whole thing conking out on me, right? Cheers for the advice!
Hello again. I totally agree with you, spending some and playing safe is far better than facing a breakdown in the middle of nowhere. Since it's completely stock with no mods, it does bring it down to a likely battery issue, especially given the kilometers you've clocked. I'd say, have the battery checked for sure. Even though we've got different models, they're both Lexuses and in my experience they've got a good service record, so your local garage should hopefully be able to pinpoint the issue. Don't forget to check if the alternator is working properly while you're at it, as a faulty one can also lead to similar problems. After all, we want our mean machines up and running smoothly, don't we? Also, overvoltage can be checked while testing the battery. We don't want that fried electrics smell in our pride and joy! I'd bet my last dollar, your Lexus will be purring like a kitten soon. Keep me posted. Cheers!
Hello again! Agree with you wholeheartedly. We definitely want our beloved beasts running at their best. I'm taking your advice and I've booked an appointment with the local workshop to get the battery, the alternator, and over-voltage all checked out. I don't want to guess about these things anymore. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out with this - it's been a real lifesaver. And don't worry, I'll keep you posted on how things go. Cheers ride safe and take care!
Hey! I own a 2018 Lexus LS and had a similar junky battery problem. Not an expert, just a petrolhead with a bit of mech experience. I took my beast to the local garage where I usually have work done. Turned out, the battery was defective. Had to cough up €290 to get it replaced. Not cheap but the ride's running smoothly now, touches wood. By the way, does your ES have any additional installed features or mods? That might help in pinpointing the issue.
