Hey there thanks for the heads up on the sensor cable and plug. I hadn't thought of checking that out yet. I'll definitely have a look at those components. My Getz has run about 119963 KM, and it was last serviced two months ago. They didn't mention anything about the ambient temperature sensor then, but they might've overlooked it. I'll keep you guys posted on what I find out. Cheers for the advice!
Hey again, good to hear you're gonna check out the sensor wiring. That could well be the issue if your Getz is similar to my Accent. It's funny how minor things like a faulty wire can mess up something as necessary as the air conditioning, right? Do let us know how things turn out. In my experience, once I got the cable sorted out, the air con was back to blowing cool air as a cucumber. Fingers crossed it's as simple a fix for you. Best of luck, dude!
Hey, thanks for the encouragement! It is indeed funny how sometimes the little things that we overlook seem to cause the biggest headaches! Fingers crossed that it's just a simple wiring issue like yours. I'll definitely keep you all posted once I get it checked out. This whole experience has taught me never to underestimate the importance of every tiny component in my Getz. Here's hoping for a cool breeze soon! Cheers!
Hey! I'm no expert but I got some experience with my '02 Hyundai Accent, had a similar issue. Turned out the cable or plug connection from the sensor was defective. Paid around 95 Euro at my local garage to get it all sorted out - a lot cooler now! Have you checked these on your Getz?
