Trouble with Carly App and Check Engine Light on Vauxhall Corsa

Check engine light on

I've recently encountered a misfire issue with my Vauxhall Corsa. After replacing the corroded plugs and coil pack, the car is running smoothly again, but the check engine light remains on. I attempted to reset this with the Carly app, but it failed and suggested that I needed to purchase a universal adapter, even though I'm already using one. I managed to resolve the issue by disconnecting the battery, but I'm puzzled as to why the Carly app didn't clear the code and why it's asking me to buy a universal adapter when I already have one. Can anyone provide advice or insights on this issue? Thanks in advance.

I'm using the Carly universal adapter and I would expect the Carly app to be able to clear basic OBD fault codes. The issue was that the app didn't seem to realize it was using the Carly adapter as it was asking me to purchase a new one. This is a Vauxhall Corsa, so not very sophisticated :) I cleared the code by disconnecting the battery and the car is now driving much better so I'm confident the issue is resolved. I'd like to get the problem with the Carly app not realizing that it was using a Carly adapter resolved otherwise I fear I'm not getting the value from my subscription.
