Trouble Locating Injector Driver Unit on Toyota Corolla

Engine shuts off by itself

Check engine light on

I'm currently experiencing some issues with my Toyota Corolla. The check engine light is on, the vehicle starts but then quickly goes out again, and the engine shuts off by itself. The car won't even start now. I ran a diagnostic and got the codes P062D and P0611, indicating issues with the Fuel Injector Driver Circuit Performance Bank 1 and an internal control module performance issue. However, I'm having trouble locating the injector driver unit on my car. Can anyone guide me on where to find it and how to address these issues?

The fuel injector driver is typically integrated into the Engine Control Unit (ECU) in most modern vehicles, including your Toyota Corolla. The error codes you're seeing suggest a possible issue with the ECU or its wiring. Before replacing the ECU, which can be expensive, I'd recommend checking the wiring and connectors for any visible damage or loose connections. If you're not comfortable doing this, it might be best to take your car to a professional mechanic, as this is a critical component of your vehicle. After checking the wiring, please update us on the situation. Do you have any other questions?

Thanks so much. In addition I replace the diesel injectors with the reconditioned ones and drove about 60kms then the problem started again.

It's possible that the reconditioned injectors are faulty or not compatible with your vehicle. I'd recommend having them checked or replaced with new ones. Also, ensure that the injectors are properly installed and that there are no leaks. After doing this, please let us know if the problem persists. Do you have any other questions?

So it's possible the problem might be failing injectors?

So it's possible the problem might be failing injectors?

Yes, it's possible. Faulty injectors can cause a variety of issues, including the ones you're experiencing. If the injectors are not spraying the correct amount of fuel, or if they're leaking, it can cause the engine to run poorly or not at all. I recommend having the injectors tested or replaced. After doing so, please update us on whether the issue has been resolved. Do you have any other questions?

Is it possible for a diesel pump to work and fail, work again and fail or it dies once and for good? Because my car sometimes it drives and switch off on the way

Yes, it's possible for a diesel pump to intermittently fail. This can be due to a variety of reasons such as a faulty electrical connection, a failing pump motor, or even debris in the fuel system. I'd recommend having the fuel pump and the entire fuel system thoroughly inspected. This is a safety-relevant issue, so if you're not comfortable doing this yourself, please have a professional mechanic look at it. After the inspection, please let us know what you find. Do you have any other questions?

Hello, is it possible to code injectors with Carly? I have a BMW e60 530d 218hp BMW e60 year 2003 and I have to replace the 6 injectors. But I am interested if it is possible to code in the ECU the new injectors. Thank you, best regards.
