Headlight cleaning system without function

Thanks for sharing your experience! My Triton's at 54868 KM, and just had a service done last month. Actually, I can't hear the pump at all when I press the washer button, complete silence. That's probably a different issue from what you had with your Pajero. I'm guessing it might be either a failed pump or an electrical problem. I'll get it checked out soon.
Hey again! Yeah, that definitely sounds different from what I experienced with my Pajero. Since you can't hear the pump running at all, I'm leaning towards either a blown fuse or a faulty pump. In my Pajero (which now has 180k km), I've actually had both issues over the years, the sensor thing I mentioned before and a dead pump about two years ago. Quick tip: might be worth checking the fuse box first before heading to the mechanic. It's usually the easiest and cheapest fix if that's the problem. The fuse for the headlight washers should be listed in your owner's manual. If that's not it, then yeah, I'd bet money on the pump being dead. When mine went, it was completely silent just like yours. Let me know what you find out! Always good to learn from each other's experiences with these Mitsubishis. They're generally solid cars but they all have their quirks, right?
Thanks for the detailed advice! I just checked the manual and found the fuse location, will definitely check that first thing tomorrow morning. You're right about learning from each other's experiences! Really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge about both the fuse and pump possibilities. I'll keep you posted on what I find. And yeah, these Mitsubishis are pretty reliable overall, this is actually the first real issue I've had with mine in years of ownership. Thanks again for all your help!
Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2004 Mitsubishi Pajero. The washer liquid level sensor was giving false readings, even though I thought the tank was full. My local mechanic checked it and found that the sensor was covered in residue, causing it to malfunction. Quick fix, they cleaned the sensor and topped up the fluid. Cost me 25€ and about 30 minutes of time. What's the mileage on your Triton? Also, do you hear the pump working when you try to use the washers? This info would help to better diagnose if you're dealing with the same issue.
