Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2014 VW Touran a few months ago. It was exactly as you described and I also had a light on the dashboard. After a visit to the garage, it turned out to be a control problem. The guys just adjusted the control module and everything was fine again. Hope this helps you!

Hey, thanks for the info! That reassures me a little. Can you still remember how much the fun cost you? Has anything else come up since then, or has adjusting the control module solved all the problems?

Moin, of course I remember - the whole thing wasn't exactly cheap. The repair to the transmission control unit cost me around €700. I haven't had any problems with it since. I hope this helps you! So, cheer up, everything will work out!

Hey, quite apart from the costs, I would first check whether the high mileage of your vehicle - 215,714 km is quite a lot - might play a role. Over time and with the increased mileage, all sorts of little things on the car can get out of kilter, including the control module. Maybe you're lucky and it really is just a small thing that's due. But to be on the safe side, I would have the car checked if I were you. You don't want your car to suddenly roll away, do you?

Hi guys, thanks for the advice! Your tips have really helped me. I then took my car to the garage. The whole thing cost me almost 700 euros, but thanks to you I had already reckoned with that. Have a nice day and thanks again!
