Hey, no problem! I can well imagine that you're a bit nervous. In my case, it cost €695 to repair the encoder wheel on the camshaft. It's not a lot of money, but since then the car has run like clockwork. The malfunction of the camshaft sensor, which I had already mentioned, is also history since the visit to the mechanic. I'm really glad that I got that over with. Fortunately, there have been no further problems since then. Hope that helps you! Fingers crossed that it goes as well for you!

Hey, thanks for the info and the encouraging words! I think that really helps me. 695€ is a lot of money, but if the car runs again afterwards, then it's worth it. Your experience gives me hope that I will soon have this solved too. I'll contact my garage directly tomorrow and make an appointment. Thanks again and have a good trip, man!

Hey, I also have a Toyota, but a 2014 Corolla. I had similar problems to yours, but unfortunately the dealer's goodwill had expired. My car was also constantly jerking and had less power. The garage said the problem was the master gear on the camshaft. This is probably more serious than just a camshaft sensor. The guys in the workshop had to do quite a lot to solve the problem. Part of the engine control unit had to be replaced and then everything had to be readjusted. It was annoying and took a few days, but afterwards the car was great again. No more misfires or loss of power since then. I hope it's just as easy to solve for you. Good luck, man!
