Hey, So much similarities that it's almost eerie! My ride's a 2020 Seat Tarraco, and though I've racked less miles on it, I've been in a similar patch recently. It's really naff when the when the car acts up like this! The ECU was giving me a headache, for sure. Seeing as how you and had alternator issues, now I'm wondering if my checkered engine light could be attributed to the same. I remember forking out some serious dough to get it sorted but can't recall the exact amount. Was your fix pricey,? And were there any problems after the fix, or has everything been running smoothly since? Keep it real!
Hey there! Yeah, I totally get you. Feels like deja vu, doesn't it? The fix on my Ateca did have a bit of a sting to it. Coughed up 290€, just for the battery voltage gig. pricey, right? But bro, it was totally worth it. Since the mechanic went all MacGyver on it, the ECU's been behaving real peachy. It's like getting a tuneup job done, everything’s been smooth sailing since then. No more of that engine light acting up or wacky car antics. It's like the ride's got a new lease on life. I know that dropping that kinda cash might pinch, but I'd say head over to the shop and get it sorted. Gives you that peace of mind, you know? So yeah! Good luck, fingers crossed it won't be too severe on your pocket. Keep it rolling, dude!
Hey there, Wow, it’s like looking in the mirror here! Seems like we're all members of the Troubled Seat Club. Sounds like this alternator snafu is common then. Well, it'd make Sherlock outta you, this auto puzzle! A moody battery sounds like a real pain though. Thanks for sharing the cost and glad to hear it's cruising fine now, totally put my mind at ease a bit. Finally,, those mystery engine lights are such a nightmare. Hope that price tag wasn’t too steep and your Tarraco's been boss since! Time to get my ride checked out, keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the mechanic isn't a nightmare this time around! Maybe it's time to see if the warranty covers anything of this mess. Keep the rubber side down!
Hello! I totally vibed with your issue. Got myself a 2018 Seat Ateca and just came off a similar to-do. When I put it under the spanner, it turned out to be a duff alternator. The sucker was failing to charge the battery sufficiently, made it act like a moody teenager, not generating required voltage. The lights on mine were thinking it's Christmas too. On tests, the alternator was underperforming, wasn't chucking enough juices to keep the battery up and running. Also, the worrisome part was that the poor, tired battery was taking toll on other bits and bobs, wreaking havoc on the ECU. Yeah, it was pretty dire, dude. Finally, the mechanic got on it. A new alternator in place, and a battery replacement; then a complete checkup to ensure no other parts were damaged due to the old, sluggish battery. Gawd! So, yeah, real bummer but totally doable. When you take yours in, it might be good to look at the battery first, then alternator and so on. Best of luck with it!
