Hey buddy, I can totally understand you, I had a similar problem with my Skoda Superb 2016 diesel. I also had high fuel consumption, the car wouldn't even start and the warning lights in the speedometer drove me crazy too. It turned out that the problem was with the battery and the starter motor. The engine start-stop system wasn't the problem at all, it was the erratic electrics in my car. In my case, the interior lighting didn't flicker, but it could be anything to do with your electrical system. So my advice is to go to the garage and have it checked by the professionals.
