Failure of various systems in the vehicle

Looking for advice on my 2023 SQ7, my electronic issues are getting worse by the day. The dashboard keeps lighting up with various error messages and warning lights. Multiple driving assistance features stopped working, including adaptive cruise control. The mechanic I visited last month seemed clueless about safety systems and wanted to charge a fortune just for diagnostics. Has anyone experienced similar radar sensor failures on their SQ7? Car has 191608km on the clock and runs on gas. Would appreciate recommendations for getting this fixed properly.

Had a similar electronic issue on my 2020 SQ8. The driving assistance systems started failing one by one, triggering multiple sensor malfunction warnings. The root cause was contamination of the front radar sensor behind the grille logo, combined with a loose wiring connection. The radar calibration process revealed the sensor needed thorough cleaning and recalibration. Safety systems like adaptive cruise control and emergency braking were compromised due to this fault. The repair involved: 1. Complete sensor unit cleaning 2. Wiring harness inspection and reconnection 3. Full calibration of all radar sensors 4. Software update for the assistance systems This was a serious issue requiring specialized diagnostic equipment. Basic mechanics often lack the tools for proper sensor diagnostics. The job needs a certified technician with experience in advanced driver assistance systems. After the repair and calibration, all safety features were restored to full functionality. Regular sensor cleaning is now part of maintenance to prevent recurrence. Based on the symptoms described, your SQ7 likely has a similar radar sensor contamination issue combined with possible wiring problems. Recommend having this checked at a facility with proper diagnostic capabilities for modern safety systems rather than a general repair shop.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I dealt with nearly identical issues on my SQ7 recently. After seeing your post, I am quite sure it was also the radar sensor acting up, along with some corroded wiring connections affecting the driving assistance features. Mine got fixed about 2 months ago and the automotive sensors are working perfectly since then. The radar calibration was quite extensive and needed specialized equipment, but it solved all the warning lights and error messages. Did you keep track of the total repair costs for your SQ8? Also curious if you have experienced any new electronic glitches since the fix? My safety systems have been reliable after the repair but always good to hear about long-term results.

Glad the radar sensor issue got resolved on your SQ7. These modern collision avoidance systems require proper maintenance and care. In my SQ8 case, the total repair ended up quite reasonable at 45 Euro for cleaning the dirty sensor unit. This was much lower than initially expected since no parts needed replacement. Have had zero electronic glitches or sensor malfunction warnings since the fix 8 months ago. The adaptive cruise control and other driving assistance features work flawlessly. Regular sensor cleaning during maintenance helps prevent similar issues from recurring. The key was finding a technician who really understood these advanced safety systems. Makes a huge difference compared to shops that lack proper diagnostic equipment for radar calibration work.

After struggling with those frustrating electronic issues, I finally got my SQ7 properly diagnosed and fixed last week. Found a specialized shop that actually knows their way around modern driving assistance systems, what a difference compared to that first clueless mechanic! The repair involved a complete radar calibration and rewiring of several sensors. Turns out there was significant corrosion affecting the main radar sensor, plus some loose connections causing those unusual warning lights. The technician used specialized diagnostic equipment to pinpoint the exact problems. Total cost came to 780 Euro including labor, parts, and full system recalibration. While not cheap, it was worth every cent since all my safety systems are now working perfectly again. No more dashboard light shows or sensor failure warnings. The whole repair took about 6 hours. They even showed me the corroded parts and explained how to better maintain the automotive sensors going forward. Really appreciate all the advice here that helped point me in the right direction for getting this fixed properly.
