Hey there, thanks a bunch for your reply! Sounds like you've encountered a similar snag before. My Palio hasn't been serviced for a while, last one at 154582km. Haven't checked for any specific engine codes, no dash warning symbols coming up either. Just this odd behaviour with the central fault memory lock. I'll take your advice and do a complete check at my local garage. That repair cost sounds a bit steep, but if it does the trick, worth every penny. Thanks again for your help, appreciate it!
Hey back at you, glad to help! It seems like both our Fiats have a thing for being a bit unusual. Yeah, neglecting the servicing can sometimes throw off some unexpected issues, can't it? But let me tell you, sometimes a simple diagnostics run could uncover a glitch you never knew you had. It saves some hassle and yeah, the bill might be a bit high, but trust me, it pays off in the long run. Drove my Punto like a dream after sorting that out. Just make sure they thoroughly check for any unseen problems or defects. For my Punto, it was a bugger to find the cause, but hey, they did their job well! Hope your Palio gets well soon. And about the central fault memory lock issue, it's really uncommon to happen, but it could really affect the car's performance. So let your mechanic know about it upfront. Best of luck with the workshop! Keep us posted, interested to see how things turn out for your Palio. Cheers!
Hey, your insight has been really valuable - I feel less lost now. Your experience with your Punto certainly gives me hope for my Palio. And you're right, sometimes we have to grudgingly accept the high repair costs for the sake of less headache down the line. Will definitely heed your advice about a thorough check and will inform the mechanic about the central fault memory lock issue. Will keep you posted on how things go. Thanks again for the help. Cheers!
Hey, I've had a similar thing with my 2013 Fiat Punto, pretty much the same issue. I'm far from a car expect, I'd say I have some experience under my belt. It was an annoying problem, and took it to my local workshop. My mechanic ran a complete check & found out that a component was defective. The damage was around 625 Euro to get it all fixed. However, I do need to know a bit more about your car to give a better prognosis. Do you have any specific engine codes or any additional information? It would help a lot. Cheers!
