Skoda Yeti Stalling At Idle

I'm having some trouble with my 2013 Skoda Yeti (gasoline engine). It has 244032 km on it. The check engine light is on, and the error memory indicates a problem with the IAC valve. The main symptom is that the engine stalls at idle. I suspect it might be related to a contaminated air intake, but I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas?

I experienced a similar issue with my old Volvo some time ago. The engine kept stalling at idle, and the check engine light was on. Did you try checking the air intake for any obstructions or excessive dirt? In my case, the problem was a dirty throttle body that was affecting the car idle.

When you say 'dirty throttle body,' what exactly did you do to fix it? Did you clean it yourself, or did you have to replace any parts?

The mechanic recommended a thorough cleaning first. He used a special cleaner for the throttle body and the IAC valve. If cleaning doesn't solve the problem, then replacement might be necessary. However, given the error code and symptoms you describe, I would strongly advise a visit to a reputable workshop. They will be able to properly diagnose the problem and recommend the best course of action.

Took the Yeti to a workshop and they confirmed a heavily contaminated air intake was causing the IAC valve to malfunction. They cleaned the throttle body and replaced the IAC valve. Cost me 425€, but the engine is running smoothly again. Thanks for your help!
