Skoda Superb Hybrid Error Messages

I don't have the exact OBD-II code, unfortunately. I only know what the infotainment displayed: 'Error: Drive System'. No recent changes or work. What does 'incorrect coding' actually mean in this case? Is that something I can fix myself, or am I looking at a workshop visit?

Alright, gotcha. 'Incorrect coding' basically means the car's computer isn't configured correctly for all its components. Think of it like mismatched software on your computer. In modern cars, especially hybrids, everything talks to everything else. If the coding is off, it can throw all sorts of errors, even if nothing is actually broken. Unfortunately, it's almost certainly a workshop job. They'll need specialized software to recode the affected modules. Best not to mess with it yourself unless you REALLY know what you're doing, you could brick the car. Expect to pay a bit for their time and the software usage.

Thanks for the input. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. They recoded the vehicle, and it cleared the fault. Cost me 360€, but at least the engine light is off now.

Whoa, that sounds frustrating! A fault code on a '23 Skoda Superb hybrid with that mileage is definitely not ideal. When you say 'fault code detected' from the OBD-II, do you know the actual code? The malfunction indicator (that's your engine light) coming on points to something real. And an error message in both the infotainment and speedometer? Sounds like a central computer issue maybe. You mention incorrect coding is suspected - has the car had any recent software changes or work done?
