Skoda Superb AC Issues

Thanks for the quick reply! A refrigerant leak was my initial thought too, but the workshop did a pressure test and couldn't find any leaks. They suspect the air conditioning control unit is defective. Does that sound plausible? What was the final diagnosis for your Megane?

Yep, sounds familiar! The Megane's issue turned out to be the AC compressor, too. The mechanic said sometimes the compressor's internal control goes haywire, even if there are no refrigerant leaks. If your workshop suspects the control unit, I'd trust their judgement. It's probably best to get it sorted before summer!

Just letting you know the workshop confirmed it was the AC control unit. The bill was 980€, as expected. It's expensive, but at least the Superb has cold air again. Thanks for your help; it pointed me in the right direction!

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had a similar experience with my old Renault Megane. The AC just quit, and I was sweating. Could it be a refrigerant leak? Have you checked for any visible signs?
