Skoda Superb 2018 year of manufacture Problems with the navigation system screen

Navigationssystem is not working

Hello everyone, the navigation system in my Skoda Superb Diesel, built in 2018, has suddenly stopped working. I suspect that it is due to the screen (screen failure). Has anyone had similar experiences and can provide tips on how to fix the problem? How did your garage solve the problem and what were your experiences? Thank you very much!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2020 Skoda Octavia. I have some experience with cars, but I'm not a professional. In my case, the cable connection between the control unit and the display was defective, i.e. a bad connection. My garage then repaired it and I paid 165 euros for it. Maybe it's the cable connection in your case too. For more precise tips, it would be good to know which model you have and whether the symptoms are the same. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the info! My Superb now has 224567 km on the clock. This could actually be due to the cable connection. I'll have it checked at my garage. Does anyone else have similar experiences or any other tips? VG

Hey, sure, I also have a Skoda Superb Diesel, built in 2018, so it's very similar to yours. My sat nav also spun once and the screen stayed black. It turned out that it wasn't just the cable connection that was the problem, but also the control unit itself. I had pretty much the same symptoms as you described, and I also had some loose panels, which probably put additional strain on the connections. At the workshop, they checked and fixed the cables, replaced the control unit and also reattached all the loose parts properly. The whole thing cost me just under 300 euros, but since then everything has been running smoothly again. If I were you, I would have the cable connections and the control unit checked. That could help you solve the problem. Keep your fingers crossed that it won't be too expensive. VG

Hey, thanks for your detailed answer! That gives me a good idea of what the problem could be. I'll definitely take the tip about the cables and control unit to the workshop. Let's see what they say. Does anyone else have similar experiences or any other tips? VG
