Skoda Roomster Starting Problem

I'm experiencing some starting problems with my 2015 Skoda Roomster diesel with 59100 km. The engine either refuses to start, or starts briefly and then immediately dies. The error memory indicates an immobilizer problem, potentially related to incorrect key programming. What could be the cause?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Roomster. The security light was on, and the engine would cut out seconds after starting. Did you check the car immobilizer?

How did you resolve the issue with your Roomster? Did it also point to an incorrect key signal? Was an immobilizer bypass necessary, or did you address the ignition control?

My issue showed the same symptoms. I didn't attempt an immobilizer bypass myself. I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was indeed a key issue and sorted out the ignition control programming.

The problem is solved. The key needed reprogramming. It cost 45€ and the car is now running smoothly. Thanks for the advice.
