Skoda Roomster Central Locking Failure

I have a problem with my 2013 Skoda Roomster, gasoline engine, with 146443 km on the clock. The central locking has stopped working. None of the doors will lock or unlock, and there's an error stored in the car's error memory. The mechanic suspects a cable or plug connection. Has this happened to anyone?

I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra; it turned out to be a faulty module in the fuse box that controlled the central locking. Does the key fob work? Are there any other strange electrical issues, or just the car locks?

The key fob isn't working either. I thought it was the battery, but even after replacing it, nothing. And no other electrical issues that I've noticed. Is there anything I can check myself before taking it to a workshop?

The key fob not working too sounds like a central issue, not just a single door actuator. Without the right tools, like a diagnostic scanner, it's difficult to pinpoint the fault's location. Since the error memory already has a fault stored, and the mechanic suspects a wiring issue, it might be best to take it in. They have the equipment to trace the wiring and properly check the security system module. That was the right choice for me.

The garage located a defective cable or plug connection, as suspected. 95€ later, the central locking is functional again. Thanks for the input.
