Skoda Roomster Automatic Transmission Problem

Good question. I'm not sure about the transmission fluid change. I've owned the car for three years and haven't done it. Should I consider a transmission flush? I have read about it. The car battery is original, could this cause the automatic transmission to behave like this?

An old battery can indeed cause undervoltage. This can lead to erratic behavior in the automatic transmission, including the symptoms you described. While a transmission flush might help in some cases, I would advise having the electrical system checked first. It's best to consult a workshop for a proper diagnosis of your car transmission before considering a transmission flush.

Just letting you know the garage confirmed it. Undervoltage was causing the transmission issue. They fixed it, the bill was 240€, and now it shifts perfectly. Thanks for the advice!

Implausible shifting behavior can stem from several issues. Has the transmission fluid ever been changed? When was the last time the car battery was replaced? Slipping transmission can be a sign of low fluid or worn clutches.
