Skoda Praktik oil temperature warning light issue

Yes, the plug directly on the sensor. Mine was a bit corroded, causing intermittent connection. The car diagnostics pointed to the oil temperature sensor, but the oil pressure light was a symptom of the faulty reading confusing the ECU. Honestly, if you're not comfortable digging deeper, a garage with proper car sensor diagnostic tools might be the best bet. Could save you a lot of headache in the long run.

When you say 'sensor connection', are you referring to the plug directly connected to the temp sensor itself? Was your error message specifically pointing to the oil temperature or something more generic? I've done a quick visual check, but without pulling anything apart.

It was the temp sensor. A local garage sorted it. Total cost was 95€ including the sensor and labor. Thanks for the help!

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen on my Praktik. The oil pressure light flickering along with the temp warning – quite unnerving! Have you checked the simple stuff first, like the sensor connection? Give the plug a wiggle and see if anything changes. These sensors can be finicky.
