Interesting. When you say 'wiring harness and connectors,' are there any specific areas I should focus on? I'm not an expert, but I'm willing to take a look myself before taking it to a workshop.

Yeah, it's often something simple but annoying. In my case, it was the connector going directly into the emergency call control module. It's usually located somewhere under the dash. Think of it like a loose cable on your TV antenna – everything goes haywire. If you're not comfortable poking around yourself, best to have a workshop take a look. They can diagnose it properly and save you potential headaches down the road.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's relieving to hear that it might just be a connection issue. I took your advice and went to a local workshop. Indeed, it was a defective plug connection. They fixed it, and the error is gone. Total cost: 95€. Appreciate your help!

Whoa, emergency call malfunction in a Praktik? Sounds like a sci-fi movie! But seriously, these things can be a pain. I had something similar happen in my Praktik a while back. Same error message and warning light madness. Have you checked the wiring harness and connectors related to the emergency call control module? A loose or corroded connection can cause all sorts of havoc with automotive electronics.
