Hey, thanks for your reply! I'm reassured that you had the same problem and that your Skoda ran smoothly again afterwards. Can you remember how much the repair cost? And has your car had any other problems since then that could be related to it? Hopefully not, but you never know!

Moin, of course I still remember the repair costs. It cost me €355 at the time, but I have to say it was worth it. Since the mechanic fixed the malfunction in the EGR valve, my Skoda has been running smoothly again. No other problems that could be related to the EGR valve have happened to me since then. Just keep at it, I'm sure your Skoda will run smoothly again after the repair!

Thanks for the information and especially for the helpful advice! It's good to know that your Skoda ran cleanly again afterwards and that no further EGR valve problems occurred. So I will definitely tackle it and have the necessary repair carried out. Oh, and the €355 actually sounds reasonable, after all I want my Skoda to run a little longer. Thanks again, you've really helped me out!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my diesel Skoda Superb (2012). The engine was running rough and the indicator light came on. It turned out to be the EGR valve. A few parts on the valve had to be replaced in the workshop because they were badly coked up. It wasn't a small job, but everything ran smoothly again afterwards. I would really recommend having an expert look at it. Don't be discouraged - sometimes things don't go according to plan in the workshop, but the next time it could go better again!
