Skoda Octavia automatic transmission problems with gear changes (year of manufacture 2016)

ABS/DSC system is not working

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my 2012 Skoda Octavia with a gasoline engine. The ABS/DSC systems are no longer working properly. I suspect that it could be due to the worn transmission fluid. Have any of you had similar experiences and how did you get the problem fixed at the garage? I would appreciate any tips and experiences. Thank you!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2014 Skoda Superb. I only have a bit of experience with cars, but I've been to the garage about it. In my case, it was also due to worn transmission oil (transmission oil worn out). The garage changed the oil for me and the problem was then solved. It cost me 365.0 euros. Can you provide some more information about your car? Has the mechanic told you anything about it? Best regards!

Hey, thanks for your answer! My Octavia currently has 109876 km on the odometer. The mechanic said that it could possibly be due to the sensors, but before I change the transmission oil, I wanted to ask about similar experiences. Was the oil change a big deal for you or was it done quickly? Best regards!

Hey, sure, I can tell you more about it. Changing the oil in my Superb wasn't such a big deal. The garage did it within a couple of hours, so nothing that would take forever. The mechanic initially thought it could be the sensors, but luckily it was just the oil. If I were you, I would definitely have the gearbox oil changed before you jump into the sensor issue. Sometimes an oil change like this is enough to solve the problem, and it's a less complex issue compared to sensor problems. I hope this helps you! Keep us posted on how things progress for you. Best regards!

Hey, that doesn't sound too complicated then. Thanks for the info! I'll go to the garage and have the gearbox oil changed. Hopefully that will be the solution and I won't have to touch the sensors. I'll let you know how it turns out. Best regards!
