Hey, thanks for your answer! Sounds really similar to my problems. Do you remember how much the repair cost you? And were there any other problems afterwards or did everything go well? Best regards,

Hey, sure, I can tell you! In my case, the repair cost a total of €375 because the defective lambda sensor had to be replaced. Since I've been to the mechanic, the exhaust aftertreatment malfunction has been completely rectified and my Skoda is running like a champ again. Fortunately, I haven't had any other problems since then. So it's definitely worth having it checked as soon as possible. Best regards,

Thanks for the info! 375 doesn't sound cheap, but it's probably better than risking more damage. I'll call the garage tomorrow and make an appointment. Hopefully everything will be fine with my Skoda again. I'll let you know how it goes! Best regards,

Hello, I had similar problems last year with my 2016 Skoda Superb, also a diesel. My symptoms were: - Black smoke from the exhaust - Check engine light constantly on - Significantly less power from the engine At the garage, it turned out that one of the lambda sensors was defective. This is actually a serious problem, as the lambda sensor is largely responsible for exhaust gas aftertreatment and can put the engine into emergency mode, which drastically reduces performance. The defective sensor was then replaced and since then everything has been running smoothly again. With the signs you have described, it could very well be due to a defective lambda sensor. It's best to have it checked quickly before any more damage occurs. Best regards,
