Hey, thanks for your reply! That really sounds like what I'm experiencing with my Kodiaq. Do you remember how much you paid for the repair? And has anything else happened since then? Best regards!

Hey, you're welcome! Yes, I still remember the costs. Repairing the EGR valve cost me €355 at the time. Since I've been to the garage, the functional fault in the EGR valve has been rectified and my car is running perfectly again. No further problems have occurred and the symptoms have completely disappeared. I hope this helps you! Best regards!

Hey, thanks for the info! That sounds feasible and is worth the peace of mind. I'll probably make an appointment with the garage then. Hopefully that will solve the problem. Your tips have really helped me, really great! Best regards!

Hey, I had similar problems with my 2017 Skoda Octavia. In my case, it was definitely the EGR valve that was defective or stuck. The symptoms were almost the same: check engine light, engine would sometimes stall, loss of power and a rough idle. The strong-smelling exhaust and the wobbling at idle were also there. The EGR valve was cleaned and partially replaced in the workshop. A stuck or defective EGR valve is a serious problem, as it impairs your engine efficiency and can lead to further damage in the long term. After the repair, everything ran smoothly again. So, I would definitely advise you to have it checked at the garage. Better to be on the safe side. Regards
