Skoda Kodiaq Idle Problems

The idle speed is consistently low, and sometimes it fluctuates wildly right before it stalls. I don't notice any unusual noises or smells, but the check engine light is definitely on. You mentioned a similar experience - what was the resolution in your case?

Consistent low idle speed and stalling definitely point towards an idle control issue. In my case, it was indeed a heavily contaminated intake manifold causing the IAC valve to stick. I strongly suggest getting the intake inspected. Given the symptoms and error code, it's highly probable that's the culprit. A thorough cleaning, or replacement if necessary, should resolve the issue. I'd recommend a professional diagnosis though.

You were spot on. Workshop confirmed the intake was heavily contaminated, causing the idle air control valve to malfunction. Repair cost me 425€. Runs perfectly now, thanks again!

Stalling engine on a modern Skoda Kodiaq? Sounds eerily familiar. Had a similar experience, although I hesitate to jump to conclusions without further diagnostics. Is the idle speed consistently low, or does it fluctuate? Any other unusual noises or smells?
