Skoda Kodiaq Fuel Flap Problem

Lock actuator, huh? Where is that located? And is there any way to test it before I resign myself to a hefty bill?

The lock actuator is right behind the fuel filler, part of the fuel door assembly. Think of it like a tiny deadbolt for your fuel. Honestly, testing it without proper tools is tricky. You could try listening closely when you press the fuel flap release – if you hear a faint click, the actuator is probably getting power, but the linkage is jammed. If you hear nothing, it could be the actuator itself or a wiring issue. Given the error codes and other issues you're having, I'd say bite the bullet and get it checked by a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and replace the actuator if needed. It’s annoying, but better than getting stranded with an empty tank!

Big thanks for the help! Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the lock actuator. The linkage was busted just like you said. Cost me 210€ to get it sorted. Annoying, but at least it's fixed!

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Kodiaq. The fuel flap wouldn't open, and I got some weird errors popping up. First thing I'd check is the fuel flap lock actuator. It's basically a little electric motor that controls the fuel filler door. Have you tried using the key fob to unlock the car multiple times in a row? Sometimes that can jiggle it loose, but it's probably a temporary fix at best.
