Skoda Kodiaq Diesel Engine Trouble

My 2018 Skoda Kodiaq diesel is giving me trouble at 165631 km. The engine starts poorly and sometimes stalls at idle. The check engine light is on. I suspect the camshaft position sensor. Could this be a camshaft position problem?

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Kodiaq. A faulty camshaft position sensor could be the reason. Is the engine management light on, maybe with a P0341 error code? Have you checked the sensor wiring?

The engine management light is on, but I haven't checked for an error code. Where is the camshaft position sensor located, and can I test the sensor myself with basic tools?

P0341 would confirm the camshaft position correlation. Sensor testing is possible with a multimeter and wiring diagrams. Considering the symptoms and potential engine misfire if the camshaft position isn't read accurately, risking engine control, I'd recommend a reputable workshop. It's likely a faulty camshaft position sensor.

The workshop visit confirmed the camshaft position sensor was the issue. The encoder wheel on the camshaft was defective. The repair set me back 695€, but my Kodiaq is running smoothly now. Thanks for the assistance.
