Skoda Kodiaq Diesel 2019: Experience with ABS warning light and brake light

Greetings, I have a question regarding my 2019 Skoda Kodiaq Diesel with around 32,598 km on the clock. The ABS warning light is on and one of my brake lights is not working. Think it could be the brake light switch as I got a big bill for it last time I went to the garage. Has anyone had similar experiences and can tell me if this is a common problem and what it might usually cost to fix? I'm a bit worried, appreciate any feedback! Find it a bit surprising. Hello and thank you all for your replies! I went to the garage and spoke quite casually about the problems with the car. Luckily the mechanic helped me straight away and was very professional. He replaced the brake light switch and the ABS warning light was no longer a problem either. In fact, the whole thing only cost me around €200, so I'm definitely happy that it wasn't more! All in all, I'm relieved that everything is working again and I hope that I won't have any more major problems with my Kodiaq in the near future. Thanks again for your advice and support!

Hi, I can understand you, but don't worry. Last time I took my 2016 Skoda Karoq to the garage, I also had the problem with the ABS warning light and the brake light switch. It was nothing serious and went quite quickly. The garage repaired it quickly and everything worked as usual again.

Hi, that's right, I forgot to mention that. Even though it was quite quick, I had to pay a lot because I probably had a faulty control unit. I had to pay around €1000 to repair a defective control unit.

Hi everyone, I also own a 2019 Skoda Kodiaq. Mine now has almost 80K mileage and some time ago I also had problems with my brake light switch. With such mileage, it seems that the brake light switch is more likely to malfunction. After I had the part replaced in the workshop, there were no further problems. The cost for me was around €150. I hope that helps you. I'm sure the guys at the garage will do it!
