Skoda Kodiaq Defrost Flap Issue

Alright, I'm officially pulling my hair out here! My 2020 Skoda Kodiaq with a gasoline engine is driving me nuts. The mileage is at 235680 km. The heating output is pathetic and the error memory shows a fault with the defrost air distribution flap. I've been digging around, and it seems like a defective cable or plug connection to the flap motor is the most likely culprit. Has anyone else tackled this before? Any tips on getting to the dashboard panel to check the connections without breaking everything?

Regarding your Skoda Kodiaq's temperature regulation issue, I had a similar problem with my Skoda a while back. The error code and weak heating suggest a problem with the air circulation directed to the windshield. Have you checked the fuses related to the blower motor and ventilation system? Also, can you confirm if the blower motor is operating at all speeds?

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, they seem fine. The blower motor is working, I can feel air coming out of the other vents, just not much from the defrost vents. Do you remember which component or area was specifically causing the issue in your case? I'm trying to avoid a huge bill if it's something I can tackle myself before bringing it in.

In my situation, the diagnostic pointed to a similar issue, a faulty connection at the defrost flap motor. Given the symptoms and your findings, I would advise against further DIY attempts without proper diagnostic equipment. It is advisable to seek professional assistance to rectify the issue.

Just wanted to report back. Took the Kodiaq to the workshop today, and you nailed it! They found a faulty connection on the defrost air distribution flap. 95€ later, the ventilation system is blowing hot air like new. Thanks again for the help!
