Skoda Kodiaq Anti Theft System Problem

I'm about ready to set my Skoda Kodiaq on fire. It's a 2020 model with a Gasoline engine. The anti-theft system is going crazy. The engine won't start, or sometimes it starts for a second and then dies. I scanned it, and it's showing an immobilizer fault. I'm thinking it might be a key programming issue, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else run into this with their remote start or anti-theft system?

Whoa, sounds frustrating. I had a similar thing happen with my old Fiat a while back. It would start for a split second and then die. Drove me nuts. Have you tried the spare key?

I only have one key unfortunately. Do you remember what the issue was with your Fiat?

Yep, sounds super familiar. In my case, it turned out the key had somehow lost its programming. The mechanic said it's not super common, but it happens. You'll probably need to get the key reprogrammed. I'd head to a workshop; they should be able to sort it out pretty quickly.

Took the Kodiaq to the shop, and you were right. It was a key programming issue. They reprogrammed the key, and the immobilizer fault is gone. Cost me 45€, which is a lot better than a new engine. Thanks for the help; I really appreciate it.
