Hey, thanks for your quick reply! I don't have an error code reader to hand at the moment, but I'll have the error codes read out at the next opportunity. What you say sounds plausible, especially if it could be the engine control unit. My Kodiaq has covered 98,765 km so far and the last inspection was at 90,000 km. I haven't really noticed any other symptoms. Best regards and thank you!

Hey, you're welcome, I'm glad I could help! Yes, the engine control unit could really be the culprit, especially with these symptoms. If you can quickly find someone with an OBD2 scanner, that would be great. This would allow you to read out the fault codes and give us a better indication. As your Kodiaq only has around 98,765 km on it and was recently serviced, everything should be in the green as far as general maintenance is concerned. Nevertheless, something can always break down out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, a defective engine control unit can have such unpleasant effects. Maybe it's just a sensor that's going wrong - the mass air flow sensor or the lambda sensor, for example, which could also cause such symptoms. In any case, I would advise you to read out the fault as quickly as possible. An accurate diagnosis will save you time and money in the end. If it really is the engine control unit, get in touch with your garage - perhaps there are also known problems in this area with the Kodiaq and you could possibly hope for goodwill. Keep us up to date and good luck with the troubleshooting! Well then, best wishes and hopefully it's nothing too expensive!

Hey, great, thanks for the tips and the quick feedback! I'll see if I can find someone this weekend who can read out the error codes. If it really is the engine control unit or perhaps a sensor, then at least I'll know where I stand and can take targeted action. Your tips about the mass air flow sensor or the lambda sensor are also helpful - I'll take them into consideration. I'll let you know as soon as I know more. Hopefully it's really nothing major, otherwise it's going to be expensive fun. Thanks again and see you soon! Best regards and see you then!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2016 Skoda Octavia (so 2 years older). I know a bit about cars, but I'm not an expert. In my case, it was the engine control unit that was faulty. Your problem could also be related to this, especially as the engine light is on and you notice a loss of power and jerking. I went to my garage and they confirmed it. It cost me 1000 euros to replace the part and reprogram it. Now everything is running smoothly again. So that I can help you better, could you tell me whether you have also had error codes read out or whether you have noticed any other symptoms? Hope that helps you for now! Greetings!
