Hey, after my visit to the garage, it turned out that the problem with the engine starting could actually be fixed. The fault was due to a subsequent fault in the vehicle's electrics, and fortunately it didn't cost anything to fix, i.e. €0. Since then, the Kodiaq has been running again without any problems. So if you have similar symptoms, I can only recommend having the electrics checked. Such consequential faults in particular can be quite tricky, but once you've found them, the solution is sometimes not that expensive. Best regards!

Hey, thanks for the info! Doesn't sound too bad considering it didn't cost you anything. I'll definitely pay a visit to the mechanic this week and have the electrics checked. Hopefully it really is just the alternator or the wiring harness. To be honest, I'm a bit scared of a hefty bill, but I'll take the risk. It's extremely annoying hoping every morning that the car will start at all. Thanks again for the tip! Greetings

Hey, I had similar problems with my 2015 Skoda Superb. There were also starting difficulties, low battery power, flickering lights and the warning light in the speedometer. In my case, it turned out to be the result of a fault in the vehicle's electrical system. The problem was due to a defective alternator and a damaged wiring harness. The workshop replaced the alternator and the wiring harness. It was no small job, but everything ran smoothly again afterwards. It's best to have this checked, it sounds like a similar problem. Greetings
