Hey, I had the same problem with my 2016 Skoda Superb. The screen kept failing and it turned out that the cable connection between the control unit and the display had a bad connection. This was a serious problem because it affected the whole navigation and infotainment. At the workshop, they checked the affected cables and reconnected them. It took a while, but afterwards everything worked perfectly again. Such problems can occur with older cable connections, especially if the car has a lot of miles on it. Hope this helps you!
