Hey, thanks for your quick reply! Mine now has 198765 km on it and the last service was about 10,000 km ago. Everything was still fine then. Your experience definitely sounds very similar to what I'm experiencing. Well, let's see what the garage says. Your info on the cost is also very helpful, at least gives me a rough idea of what I might be looking at. Thank you very much!

Hi, glad I could help! The mileage on your car is similar to mine when I had the problem. With such high mileage, it's not uncommon for parts like the EGR valve to start spinning. I think you're on the right track with your guess. But as I said, get it checked at the garage to be sure. Maybe you'll get lucky and it's something less precious. I'd be happy if you could let us know what the workshop finds and what happens next. Good luck! Until then, have a good ride and stay safe!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Skoda Kodiaq diesel which is only a year older than yours (2018 model). Reporting here as someone with some experience in cars, but not an expert. At my garage it came out that the EGR valve was faulty and stuck, just as you suspect. The repair cost was 355.00 euros, which is what I paid. The symptoms were very similar to what you describe. I was able to fix the problem by having the EGR valve replaced. So it could well be what is troubling your car. But I would recommend having it checked at a garage to be sure. What mileage does your car have? And when was the last time it was serviced? This information might help to give more insight into the problem. Hope this helps!
