The starter motor doesn't even try to crank, nope. Where exactly did you find the fuse, and what number was it? Any idea?

Yes, my symptoms were identical. I suggest checking the fuses related to the car electronics and engine start. While I can't provide specifics, the repair ended up costing around 52€. If checking the fuses doesn't solve it, it's best to have a workshop take a look, as it might be a more complex starting issue.

Wow, you nailed it! It was just a fuse! Replaced it myself, cost me like 5€. Engine start is perfect again. Thanks a million!

Sounds like a similar issue I experienced. Does the starter motor even attempt to crank when you turn the ignition key? If not, it could be a problem with the car electronics related to the ignition switch itself. A defective fuse can cause the problems you describe. Consider that a car's electrical system is like a complex road network; if one road (fuse) is blocked, it can cause traffic jams (malfunctions) elsewhere.
