Hey, I'm glad that my answer has helped you. Well, I can still remember the exact amount, it was exactly 355 € for the repair of the EGR valve. That was a tough nut to crack, but I haven't had any more problems with the EGR valve since the repair. In fact, everything was fine after the visit to the mechanic. Wish you the same luck, buddy!

Hey, thanks for the info! That's a lot of money, but it seems like it's necessary to get rid of the problem. Your positive experience sounds very reassuring. Well then, I guess I'll just pop in to the mechanic and hope for the best. Wish me luck! I'll let you know about my experience. See you later!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Skoda Rapid, built in 2012. The same symptoms, plus soaring fuel consumption. In my case, the EGR valve was defective. Lots of carbon buildup, the valve was stuck. It's a serious thing, I wouldn't drive around too much. Fortunately, good garages check it straight away for problems like this. In my case, the valve had to be replaced, after which everything ran like clockwork again! So yes, there really could be something wrong with the EGR valve. It's better not to whisper for too long and visit the garage. It's better to get it done early. Good luck!
