Seeking Troubleshooting Suggestions for 2020 Renault Arkana: ABS Warning Light and System Malfunction Issues

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

ABS/DSC system is not working

ABS warning light

Fault stored

Hey folks, I'm dealing with a weird issue with my 2020 Renault Arkana. It's a gasoline engine, and isn't running as smooth as usual. I've noticed things like the ABS warning light popping up, and ABS/DSC system not functioning properly. There's also a warning light in the speedometer and some stored fault. I suspect the wheel speed sensor (ABS sensor) might be the culprit, but I'd really appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this. Any clues on how to troubleshoot, or any similar experiences you've had that got fixed by a workshop? Cheers for any tips or suggestions.

Hey, I might just have the experience you're looking for! Had a somewhat similar issue with my 2018 Renault Captur, so not too far from your Arkana. Just to lay the cards on the table, my car expertise level is low but I can certainly share what I know. Took my baby to a local garage when the ABS light and some other warning started to unnervingly blink. After their inspection, turned out to be a defective ABS sensor as well. The mechanic explained how it could throw off the entire ABS/DSC system. Fix wasn't that complicated in my case. Ended up shelling out about 260 euro for the repair, including parts and labor. Guess we probably need more specifics like the mileage on your car, any previous issues, and if you've changed any parts yourself, as your issue may not exactly be identical to mine. Hope this helps you a bit and hit me up if you need more deets. Best of luck with sorting out the issue!

Hey, Thanks for replying! It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. Your experience does help a lot! To answer your questions, my Arkana has clocked about 57587 km and didn't have any major issues as such. The latest service was recently done, so no parts were changed by me incidentally. I'd happily spend those euro if it sorts the problem out. I guess I'll schedule a visit to the local garage for a detailed checkup. Your advice hit home. Will keep you posted on how it goes. Thanks again!

Hi again! Sounds like a plan. Good to hear your Arkana received a recent service and there were no major issues or DIY jobs on it. Like I said before, I'm no expert but the ABS sensor issue does seem plausible considering my experience. Remember to keep an eye out for any other unusual signs while driving, like if the car pulls to one side, or if braking behaviour changes. And, do ensure the mechanic gives it a thorough check. Also, no need to panic about the cost; it might just be a relatively easy fix similar to what I had. Yes, around 260 euro was my bill, but prices can vary based on the garage, local labor rates, and parts involved. Let's hope it goes smooth for you, definitely keep me in the loop. Best of luck, fingers crossed it's nothing too serious!

You got it! I'll definitely keep an eye out for any irregular signs. I'm grateful for all your tips. They have been very reassuring and it's good to feel like I'm going in the right direction. I'm totally okay with the potential costs, as long as it solves the issue. I'll be sure to have a thorough check done by the mechanic. Look forward to sharing the outcome with you, hope it's as simple as your case. Once again, many thanks for all your help and crossed fingers! Best Regards.
