Hey there, Thanks for the insights! My Roadster is pretty much the standard 2015 GT model, nothing too fancy or upgraded. Last time she went under the knife was at the 51,247 km mark - just routine stuff. However, I'm thinking it's going to be a tad more than 'routine' this time around. At least, I'll give the workshop a heads up about the potential injector issue. Cheers for the help!
Hey! No problem at all. We're all in this together. Well, your roadster and my C-Class may be different models, but they're both part of the same Merc family. It does seem like your hunch about the injector could be spot on. Had my share of garage visits with my old gal. Injector issues caused a lot of similar problems. The surges and jerkings stopped once they were fixed. Cold starts got smoother, no more stupid check engine light, car regained her usual power, and the black smoke? Gone! I’d recommend taking her to a trusted mechanic, preferably with your hunch in mind. Injectors can be quite tricky to deal with if you don't know what you're doing, and you don't want to cause any further damage. Best of luck with your Roadster! Always a bummer when these beauties show signs of trouble, but she'll be back on the road in no time! Cheers keep us posted!
Hey there, Appreciate the response! I will definitely keep the injector issue in mind when I consult with the mechanic. Let's hope it's something that can be fixed easily, and doesn't cause too much of a dent in the wallet. Should remember to add the vehicle mileage to the discussion too. Ah, the things we car enthusiasts do for our babies, right? But you're spot on, it's a real bummer when these beauties act up. I'll definitely keep you guys posted on the updates! Cheers and thanks a million!
Hey there, Your hunch might be bang on the money. I remember having similar problems with my 2013 Mercedes C-Class. To keep it short and sweet: I do have a bit of experience with car repairs - wouldn't exactly call myself an expert, more like a novice with 'some' hands-on experience. At the time this happened, I had to take my car to a trusty workshop I know. Turned out the injector was internally defective. They fixed it up all nice and smooth, but it did set me back 515€. But yeah, let us know more about your vehicle for a better diagnosis. Is it a specific model or does it have any additional features that could be of relevance? Cheers and good luck with the 'patient'!
