The servomotor is a part of it all that might wear out after all those miles. Yes, the workshop did run some diagnostic tests on my S60! They hooked it up to a diagnostic machine which points out the issues in most cases. It does cost extra, but it's worth it to know what exactly is going wrong. Just a piece of advice, while you're there make sure they have a look at your headlamp assembly as well.
