Seeking Solutions: Issue with 2020 Seat Tarraco's Headlight Range Control and Warning Light

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Low beam and high beam seems too high or too low

Hey everyone, I've run into a weird issue with my 2020 Seat Tarraco with a Diesel engine. The low and high beams are out of whack, and there's this annoying warning light on the speedometer. I've a hunch it might be something to do with the headlight range control. Has anyone else faced something similar before? How did you figure it out? Any insights from your visits to the workshop would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my 2018 Seat Leon. I'm no car expert, just know some basics. Turns out, it was a defective servomotor in the headlight. Noticed the issue, took it right to my local garage. The workshop guys did a great job - they diagnosed the problem and then replaced the defective part. Set me back by about 1040 Euro. But it did the trick - no more dodgy headlight or warning light. Are both your low and high beams out of sync or is it just one? Also, do you remember if anything unusual happened just before the problem started? Might help to give a bit more insight into your issue. Cheers.

Hey there! Cheers for the quick response. Both the low and high beams are acting up, man, it's driving me bonkers. Can't recall anything unusual off the top of my head, just regular city driving with occasional long trips since my last service around 86935 KM. Your explanation about the servomotor makes sense though. Guess it's about time to swing by the garage soon and get it checked. Bit of a bummer about the cost, sure hope mine doesn't clock up to a grand! Thanks for the help, appreciate it!

Hey, no problem at all! Really does sound like you have a similar issue to what I had. Honestly, the cost is a bummer - but trust me, having those beams working correctly is worth every penny especially for those long trips. Plus, might be a good opportunity for your workshop guys to look over the car for any other potential issues. Hopefully, it ends up costing you less. Best of luck with the fix! Keep us updated on how it turns out. Cheers!

You've got a point there, safety first, isn't it? Can't really skimp on that. I will definitely have them give the car a good look over. Fingers crossed it's just the servomotor malfunctioning and not something else. You betcha I'll drop an update once I know more. Thanks again for your advice, man. Really appreciate it. Cheers!
