Navigationssystem is not working

Hey, thanks for sharing that. I guess it's reassuring in a way to know it's not just my '05 IS pitching a fit. An issue with the multimedia system, eh? Sounds irksome but manageable if I catch it early enough. Do you recall, ballpark figure, what you ended up paying to get the whole thing replaced? And has anything else popped up since you got it sorted?
Hey there, no problem sharing details, glad it's a bit helpful. Wiki leaks from my memory say it was around 725 Euro to fix the rogue display. To give a bit of context, this included diagnostic fees, parts, labor, yadda yadda, the whole shebang. Wasn't the most pleasant sight seeing my credit card bill, but hey, at least the car's behavin' itself now. And to answer your other question - touchwood, nothing weird's been popping up after the fix. The navigation system has been smooth sailing since I took it to the mechanic. So, in the end, it seems like it was all worth it! Hope things work out well for you too!
you're a lifesaver! You've put things in perspective – 725 Euro doesn't sound thrilling, it's not horrific either when considering the potential peace of mind. Cheers for giving a breakdown of the costs and sharing your experience. I appreciate it. I'll find a reputable mechanic and get those diagnostics done. Fingers crossed, it goes as smoothly as yours! Will update you on how it goes. Thanks again!
Hey! I had a similar issue with my '08 Lexus ES, so you're certainly not alone. My display was acting up as well, but it happened around 80k KM. I took it to my usual garage. Turns out it was a problem with the multimedia system. Had to get the whole thing replaced. The work wasn't that big a deal, though it was an inconvenience. Took a bit of time, but worth it in the end. I recommend taking it to a trusted garage and have them run a diagnostics check on it. Could save you some future headaches.
