Cheers for the quick response! My Barchetta's been running smooth for the most part, just crossed 143618 km. Had the latest service done just a few months back and everything checked out fine. Battery was in good condition too. I haven't got any other signs related to a dodgy battery but I'll definitely take your advice into consideration. Maybe it's time for another check under the hood just to be sure. Appreciate your suggestion!
No worries, glad to help out! And it's really good to hear that your Barchetta's been ticking along nicely. Since you mentioned your battery health checked out last time, I doubt it's the problem here. To me, it sounds more like a window regulator issue, as you first suspected. My sister owns a Fiat Punto and she had a similar issue last year. From what I remember, her car would fail to register when the window was fully up or down. Apparently, these systems can 'forget' their limits over time or if there's been a recent power cut or battery change. Long story short, her mechanic had to do a 'soft reset' or 'window reset'. It didn't solve the issue immediately - took a couple tries, but eventually, it did the trick. Maybe try this? If no avail, might be worth paying a visit to your local mechanic. Just remember, don't ignore the issue for too long. It might seem minor now but could lead to bigger problems in the future. Keep us posted, always here to help!
Thanks a bunch for all of the advice, seriously appreciate it! I reckon I recall my mechanic mentioning something similar about window regulators and their occasional need for resets. Seems to match up with your sis's experience. I'll give the window reset a shot over the weekend. If it doesn't sort out the issue, I'll book an appointment with my mechanic to prevent the issue from escalating. Greatly value your help! Always nice to chat with people who are handy with cars and willing to share their knowledge. I'll keep you posted on the outcome. Cheers again!
Hey, had a similar thing with my 2002 Fiat Bravo, another model from Fiat. I've got some car experience but I'm not a pro, so took it to my workshop. Turned out my battery was dying, so it made the electrics a bit wonky. Paid 290 Euro to replace it, and all the window issues disappeared. Double-check your vehicle's battery status. Feel free to drop more details about your car's condition, maybe I can help more. Good luck!
