Hey there! Haha, kindred car spirits indeed! Your guess about the battery issue seems pretty accurate. Glad to know it wasn't too much of a hassle for you. My XC40 hasn't really given me any issues similar to this one before. She got her last full tune-up just a few thousand kilometers ago, around the 95,000 KM mark. Since then, been cruising smooth - until this little problem. Never had to deal with a battery issue before, but I reckon she’s due for a new one considering my ride's got around 99261 KM on the clock. I'll do what you did, take it to the garage and get them to do their voltmeter wizardry. I appreciate the advice! Fingers crossed, it’s just a battery issue & nothing more serious.

Hey, good to hear back! Knowing your Volvo has been pretty recent on the tune-ups and the 99261 KM mileage, that battery guess does feel more likely. Given your ride is a 2021 model, it does seem a bit early for the battery to start showing symptoms but it can depend on stuff like driving habits and cli. Anyway, sounds like you've been taking good care of her. Yeah, as much as we love our vehicles, they do find ways to give us some heartache. Flickering lights and weak start-up, been there, done that! Taking it to the garage is a good move. Just make sure they check not just the battery but also the alternator and any ground connections. Wishing you the best of luck, hopefully, it's just a battery change and you're back on the road again. Keep us posted! Cheers!

Heya! Couldn't have asked for a better spirits connection with cars then, huh? Thanks for sharing your advise, you're spot on with the factors that can impact a car battery's life and I'll make sure they also include checking the alternator and ground connections - didn't think of that before. Yup, everything's set then. Hoping for the best and bracing for a somewhat lighter wallet. Will get it checked out soon and keep you posted. Until then, safe riding and keep revving! Cheers!

Hey! Ran into a similar situation with my Volvo XC60 Diesel, 2019 model. Seems like we're kindred car spirits, right? Got a bit of experience under my belt, not a pro, but definitely more than just kicking the tires. When my Volvy started showing signs of a failing sci-fi movie, I knew the battery was the villain. Took it to my trusty workshop, and they did some voltmeter magic. Turned out my guess was spot on, it was indeed a battery issue. They got me a brand new one, and just like that, I was back cruising the highways. Cost me a neat 290 Euro, but hey, she's worth every dime. Now, could you shed some light on your Volvo's service history? Had similar issues before? Knowing a tad bit more will help drill down on this. But in the mean time, might want to check your battery. Cheers!
