Seeking Solutions for Non-Functional Seat Heaters in 2014 Dacia Sandero

Seat heating without function

Hey, my 2014 Dacia Sandero (gas engine) has got a strange problem. The seat heaters aren't working anymore. I've got an inkling that it might be a fault with the seat heating mechanism, but I'm keen to hear if anyone else has experienced this issue. Specifically, I want to know how you managed to fix it or what your mechanics did to solve the issue in the workshop. Any insights or tips would be super appreciated!

Hey there, I had a similar problem with my 2012 Dacia Logan. I have some experience with cars, but I'm no pro. I ended up taking it to my local workshop. After a bit of tinkering, turns out the heating mat was defective. They replaced it and my wallet was 390€ lighter. So, I'd recommend getting that checked first, could be the same issue. Got a few queries though, are you experiencing the issue with all seats or just one? How's the fuse related to the seat heaters? Might help delving a bit deeper. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the info! Your experience definitely gives me a starting point. The issue is actually with both front seats, neither of them are heating up. Sounds like I need to take a look at the heating mats like you suggested. As for the fuse, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I'll have a look at it though and see if I can figure anything out. My Dacia Sandero's been pretty reliable so far, it's currently sitting on 89228KM, and the latest service was just a few months ago. I just hope this seat heater issue isn't the start of more problems to come. Fingers crossed!

Hey! Yeah, the fact that both seats are having a problem at the same time is what tipped me off to the heating mat issue in my Dacia Logan. Likely the same thing in your ride, especially if you use the heaters a lot. About the fuse, it's pretty simple to check actually. Just locate the fuse box (you'll find it in your user's manual or online if you're unsure where it is), and look for any visually damaged or burnt-out fuses related to the seat heating system. Usually, these are clearly labeled. If you find a damaged fuse, replacing it might solve your problem. Keeping a car over such mileage without any major issues is a testament to your good maintenance habit. Good on ya! Dacia's are known to be sturdy, and I'm sure it'll pull through for you once this issue is sorted. Keep us in the loop!

Thanks again for your tips! I wouldn't have thought about the fuses. I’m going to check them out later today as you’ve suggested and fingers crossed they’re just damaged or burned out. You’re spot on about the Dacia’s sturdiness, I suppose, I’ve just been reminded that even the most reliable car isn’t exempt from the occasional problem. I’ll update you all once I’ve made some progress on getting the heaters back in action. Cheers!
