Mirror doesn't defrost

Hey there, Thanks for the tips! My car has run up to 52546 KM, and it was last serviced a couple of months ago. Been a smooth ride mostly, no serious repair jobs till now. Just this pesky mirror issue that cropped up recently. I'm gonna check the cable connection you mentioned, might be the culprit. Appreciate your help! Cheers!
Hey! Good to hear back from you! So, your Kia Forte seems to be doing pretty good in general. Now, since you haven't had many reparations before, the cable connection might indeed be the issue here. However, do remember it might not be the only cause. Imperfections in the mirror or an issue with the heater can't be ruled out completely. Fixing either of these if faulty, shouldn't cost much either. Just keep in mind if you don't see any obvious plug issues or cord damages, better let a professional have a look. Didn't want to risk messing anything else up on mine, so I took it straight to the shop with my suspicion. Let us know how it goes! Fingers crossed it's just a simple fix and you're back on the road soon with a clear rear view! Cheers!
Hello, Absolutely, I totally get your point. I'll definitely have the mirror and heater checked out as well, make sure nothing is overlooked. And I agree, sometimes it's best to let a professional handle any repairs to avoid causing more damage. I'll visit my local garage and see what they say. I'll loop back here and let you guys know what was up and how it got fixed. Thanks again for all the advice, I really appreciate it! Take care, and drive safe!
Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2012 Kia Optima. Not too experienced in car stuff, but I've got a bit of a knack for troubleshooting. Brought it to my local workshop and they figured out it was a Cable connection/plug that was out of order. Cost me like 155 Euro to sort it out. You might be having the same problem or something related. Can you share more about the car, how many miles it's got, and if it's had other repair jobs recently? That'll help in giving further advice. Cheers!
