Hey! Appreciate your input. My Kia Forte has covered 142645 KM to date. Last brought it in for a complete check-up and service about a 6 month back - the battery and high-voltage system included. So far, everything has been smooth until these recent problems. Plan on taking your advice, getting it to the mechanic this week for an in-depth look at the high-voltage system. Hoping it's just a small problem that's easily fixed.
Yo! Thanks for the deets. With those miles and considering you last got it checked 6 months ago, this issue might be just wear and tear or something specific giving up the ghost. I'm not saying this to freak you out or anything but it's good you're taking it in this week. These electrical glitches are tricky. Sometimes it could be the inverter, converter, fuse box, or even wiring - basically, anything that's associated with the high-voltage system can act up. In my case, it was the inverter-converter assembly - needless to say, I was relieved it was a warranty repair! Anyway, got my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully, it's a quick fix for your Kia Forte. Do keep us updated when you hit the workshop. It's all in the sharing, you know! Good luck!
Hey, really appreciate your detailed input. You've got me thinking about potential wear and tear. It's been a good ride over these miles, but everything has a service life, I guess. Fingers crossed it's something minor and covered under warranty like in your case. Will definitely update you all after I visit my mechanic, might help someone else on here. Cheers for the advice and good vibes!
Hey there, Just a heads-up, I've got some experience with cars, but don't consider me an expert. I had a very similar issue with my 2007 Kia Rio, another model from the same brand. The symptoms were quite alike - with power loss and starting issues. I took my car to the local mechanic who did a thorough inspection and found some parts within the high-voltage system to be faulty. Thankfully for me, the parts were under warranty, hence I didn't pay anything to get them replaced. Once fixed, the issue didn't persist. By the way, could you mention how many miles you've got on your Forte? It would also be helpful to know when was the last time you had the battery and the high-voltage system checked. This could help get down to the issue.
