Seeking Solutions for Fiat Bravo 2013: Keyless Entry Malfunctions and Lighting Issues

Dim or flickering lights

Vehicle cannot be unlocked or locked

13 Fiat Bravo Keyless Entry & Lighting Issues - Help! Hey fellow gearheads, I'm having some troubles with my 2013 Fiat Bravo (Gasoline, 145k+ km). Can't lock or unlock the dang thing and I've been dealing with some dim and flickering lights. I'm inclined to think it's a malfunction in the keyless entry system. Anyone else have a similar problem? And more importantly, any good mechanic experiences dealing with this issue? Last time I took it into the shop turned into a right mess. Hoping to avoid a replay of that nightmare. Thanks for any insight you can provide!

Hey had a similar issue with my '10 Fiat Punto not too long ago. Figured it was a simple battery issue, but it turned out to be the cable connection to the outside door handle electronics not functioning properly. It caused a whole load of problems, including the keyless entry giving up the ghost on me. You'd think it's a minor issue, but a malfunction like this can cause a serious knock-on effect on the lighting system, hence probably why you’re also seeing those dim and flickering lights. Didn't trust my old garage anymore so tried out a new spot. They had to first diagnose the problem which took a fair bit of time as they checked everything in the lock&light system–from fuses to circuits–before finally detecting the cable malfunction. The whole process was fairly time-consuming to fix, but once it was done, both the keyless entry and lighting system were back on track. Hope this helps. Just my two cents, based on personal experience. It may or may not be related to what your Bravo is going through right now. Good luck.

Hey there, thanks a ton for the detailed insight. Just might be what's causing my Bravo trouble. Do you recall roughly how much it set your wallet back? Also, have any other issues popped up since the fix, or has it been smooth sailing? Cheers for the help.

Hey again, happy to help! For my Fiat Punto, the mechanic charged me around 170€. This covered diagnosing the issue and repairing the faulty cable connection to the outside door handle electronics. Since getting the work done, my car's been running smooth with no more issues, especially with the keyless entry system– it's been spot on since then. So it seems that the fix did sort out everything. You might be facing a similar problem with your Bravo, given the symptoms you mentioned earlier. Hope the problem gets resolved soon! All the best.

You're a lifesaver. Knowing what you've been through makes me more hopeful about my own Bravo troubles. And the fee sounds fair considering the positive outcome you’ve had. Looks like taking my car for a good old diagnostic check might just do the trick. Thanks again for all the help! I'll let you know how it goes. Take it easy!
