Seeking Solutions for Faulty Heated Windows in 2016 Hyundai H1 Gas Model

Heated windows without function

Fault stored

Hey! I'm having a weird issue with my '16 Hyundai H1 gas model. I've noticed the heated windows aren't doing their job and there's a fault stored. My guess is, there might be a problem with the rear window heating function. Anybody else had this issue and how did you manage to get it fixed? Keen to hear your workshop experiences and tips for sorting this out. Cheers!

Hi, sounds like a familiar issue! I've got myself a '14 Hyundai H1 diesel model, so pretty much the same beast. I'm by no means a car guru, just some hands-on experience from wrestling with my own motor problems. When I had a similar issue, my workshop led me to believe it was a weak vehicle battery. Spent about 290 Euro to get it sorted out. Might be worth checking that aspect out. However, can you share more about the condition of your battery, how old it is or when it was last replaced? Could give us a better idea on the next steps. Catch ya later!

Hey there, thanks for the quick response! Regarding the battery, I haven't replaced it since I bought the car. Given that my ride has only clocked 9685 KM since my last service, I figured it wouldn't be worn out just yet. Any thoughts? Cheers!

Hey! Absolutely no worries, we're in this together, right? The good news is that mileage doesn't make a huge difference to your battery, it's more about its age. If you've been keeping the same battery for a few years, it might be close to the end of its shelf life. Typically, car batteries last around 3-5 years, but this may vary depending on the climate, driving patterns, and the vehicle's overall electricity demand. I'd say, even though it's only been a short time since your last service and the mileage is low, you might want to get the battery checked. I learnt it the hard way when I faced similar heating issues. Best of luck with it and let me know how it goes! Catch ya!

Really appreciate the advice! It's been about 4 years since I got the car and never replaced the battery. I guess it's high time then. I'll get the battery checked at my next servicing or sooner if required. I'll definitely let you know how it turns out. Thanks again for your help. Cheers!
